I have never felt like I was a writer, but when God calls you to a task, He qualifies you for the job. I was at church when I finally made the decision to accept the assignment that He was giving me. The worship team was singing the song, “Jireh, You are Enough” and I felt God say that He would be enough to help me accomplish this task.
I totally trusted that God would give me the thoughts and words to write for each day, and He has done just that. (BKDC02)

If you had the privilege of being around Rick Clendenen very long, you would probably have experienced “storytime” with him at a church fellowship hall or in a local restaurant. It was one of his many ways of pouring into others the truths he gleaned from a life well-lived serving his Lord and Savior, often with a touch of humor and certainly with a tear in his eye. You went away from these encounters changed forever.
As his health declined, he found new ways to stay connected with those whose lives he impacted. He began to post daily on social media and every Saturday, he would send out an expanded lesson based on his many “storytime” lessons. We have preserved over 75 of these stories for you in this valuable keepsake.
